A Quarter Peal of 1260 Single Oxford Bob Triples was rung at Stoke St Milborough on Sunday 14 June 2026 in memory of Reverend Alan Seabrook, who served as vicar of this parish from 1983 to 2008. Alan Geoffrey Seabrook died on 27th March 2026, aged 82. He also served as Rural Dean of Ludlow and Bromyard. He was the dearly loved husband of Penelope (Pene), father of Jonathan (deceased), Timothy and Alistair, father-in-law to Rachel, Elizabeth and Sarah and grandfather to his eight grandchildren. We are very sorry to report that Stephen Bedford, a regular ringer at our Wednesday morning practices over recent years, died in the early hours of 28 May 2026. Stephen was a legendary figure in the world of bellringing, having rung in countless peals over the years. He enjoyed composing and was always keen to share the incredible methods and compositions that he had devised. He also had a wicked sense of humour which will never be forgotten by those who were on the receiving end of it! We send our condolences to his family and in particular to Penny, who cared for him so well during his long illness. We rang 1260 Plain Bob Triples for Stephen on Saturday 13 June 2026 with a band of his friends from Shropshire, Herefordshire and Suffolk.
